I started Pressure Support a few days before my son Liam was discharged from a 109 day stay in the hospital. He was 9 months old at the time and until then all but 13 days had been spent in a hospital bed. Since that time I have blogged about life at home as the parent of a child with special needs.
In waves this blog has meant different things at different times and was initially intended to be a distraction from the stresses and strains of Liam’s medical needs. Thankfully it has evolved into what it should have always been — My name is Eric Olson and Pressure Support is a blog about my family.
. . . which is a nice little blurb, but it doesn’t really give a whole lot of information about Liam or my wife, Karin, and I. It wasn’t an issue when the only readers of the blog were friends and family who know us but now I think a little more explaining is in order. The problem with that though is that the story has so many parts that when written out it’s hard to keep it from getting too clinical. Too medical. It’s hard to condense into one piece.
Instead I’ll list a few posts from the past three years to help puzzle the tale together. A getting to know you greatest hits grab bag if you will. ( I love alliteration)
Feel free to click around. It is a story that doesn’t fit in one place.

I guess that should give you a better idea of what we are about here at Pressure Support, but if instead of reading you’d like to see Liam’s story in pictures well here’s a post of all my favorite photos of Liam — Too Hard to Choose A Blog Post Photo Album
And if that doesn’t help, well then just go ahead and email me. I don’t mind questions.
